Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), founded in 1991 by concerned humanitarians in the USA, provides free medical care to thousands of injured and ill children yearly who lack local access to care within the local health care system. Over the years, they have sent over 2,000 affected children abroad for free medical care, sent thousands of international doctors and nurses to provide tens of thousands of children free medical care in local hospitals, and provided tens of thousands of children humanitarian aid and support they otherwise would not get.
PCRF's impact also includes establishing two pediatric cancer departments in Palestine, a new PICU and pediatric cardiology department in Ramallah, and many more critical projects to sustainably bolster the region's healthcare system. Their foundation relies on grassroots efforts, supported by a worldwide network of thousands of volunteers, to fulfill their humanitarian mission. They are a volunteer-based nonprofit.
It's always a good idea to rinse shortly after use to help prevent staining, particularly from tea and coffee. A hand wash is also alot more gentle than a dishwasher.
Some mugs are made with porous clay which will absorb water. This makes it prone to cracking or breaking. In addition, dish soap can also be absorbed with water and affect the taste of your tea or coffee later.
Some glazes will corrode in the dishwasher. To avoid chips and cracks, avoid washing in the dishwasher.
Some ceramics are not safe to microwave because they can break. They can heat up too quickly and cause them to crack.
Your mug will most likely be fine. These care instructions exist to ensure your mug will last as long as possible.
